Rick Young is a deeply committed Christian with over a quarter-century devotion to Jesus Christ. He is a retired senior special agent with over twenty-eight years experience in Federal law enforcement. This included an extended tour of combat duty in Vietnam (1968-69) as a military policeman, and subsequently, civilian criminal investigations for various Cabinet-level agencies, to include the U.S. Department of State. Trained by the Secret Service in dignitary protection, he also served as a team leader of the U.S. Secretary of Labor protection detail. More recently, he developed, and oversaw while in Afghanistan, an anti-terrorist (security) program for a team he accompanied to Kabul.

Rick received an Associate of Arts in pre-law political science from Pasadena City College, a Bachelor of Science in investigative criminal justice from California State University at Los Angeles, and a Master of Science in organizational leadership, with an emphasis in emergency preparation and management, from Philadelphia Biblical University. He is the author of Combat Police: U.S. Military Police in Vietnam, and co-author with Michael Bolyog of the fantasy adventure novel, Aiden’s Cauldron Trilogy.
